Road Hazards

Eatonton Police Department recently started using a CAD system at our dispatch desk. All of the calls for service that come to Eatonton PD are dispatched to the officers and then put on the computer by our dispatchers. This system should help us better serve and protect the citizens of Eatonton.  Eatonton Police Department would like to thank Admin. Assistant TONYA THOMAS for her efforts in tirelessly getting this system set-up and also the dispatchers for their willingness to learn this new system.

Background Check

Come in Monday-Friday with the items below to receive a background check for you job or volunteer work:
Public Background Check: Driver's License & $20

Firefighters & Law Enforcement: $55, includes fingerprints with Federal and Georgia Criminal background information.

For Driver History, you have to go to Department of Driver Services(DDS) in Milledgeville or Greensboro.

Community Programs

PRIDE Program
The P.R.I.D.E program is offered to teens to help with driver attitude, knowledge & behavior.

Child Passenger Safety Checks
Learn about the Georgia Child Passenger Safety Law and what you need to know to protect your child.

Honor Guard
Perform ceremonial events for the community.

Pay Citation Fine

You will need your citation number in order to get your fine payment amount. If you do not pay it before your court date, you must appear in court.

Online Payment

• Must be paid by Midnight the day before court.

Other ways to pay fine:

• Pay with cash before the court date at the police department.
• Mail money order with your name and citation information to the following address: P.O. Box 3820, Eatonton, GA 31024
• Bring the fine amount to court.

The following MUST APPEAR in court: DUIs, Driving Without License, Suspended License, and Possession with Marijuana. If you are under the age of 21, you must appear for speeding tickets for 24 mph or over.

Court Dates:
The Eatonton Police Department Municipal Court is held on the dates below at 9 a.m at the Putnam County Courthouse.
